Biological Didn't Bother

His 1994 tribute to the man who raised him

His story

Big Guy is one of the most dominant basketball players who ever lived: championships, MVP trophies, All-Star games, and a personality bigger than all of it. But the thing people remember most isn't the dunks. It's that he never stopped being kind.

He buys shoes for kids who can't afford them. He shows up at random restaurants and pays everyone's tab. He surprises families with cars, with rent money, with whatever they need that day. He does it quietly, constantly, and he has been doing it for decades.

He was a Cancer kid who went through a lot: an absent biological father, a childhood bouncing between Army bases, and a stepfather whose tough love shaped him into the man he became. He put it all into a song, a tribute to the man he calls Dad.

On E2, Big Guy is what he has always been: the giant who makes everyone feel welcome. He DJs a mean party, he laughs the loudest in the room, and he reminds us all that being big means lifting other people up.

His work

On E2, Big Guy runs the Good Vibes arena: pickup basketball for all ages, DJ nights under the lights, and the famous Big Surprise, where he picks one person a week and changes their whole month.

He is also the patron of the Enough movement on E2: the growing chorus of people who are done with toxic feeds, sold data, and fake friends. If you are tired of all that, Big Guy is already on your side.

Come for the basketball. Stay because somebody seven feet tall just made you feel like you belong.
